Doghouse

The weather's been improving with the season but for this area that's always a brief respite before the rain starts up again.  Neither Pupervisor Max nor Junior Pupsistant Ranger enjoy being wet so we spent a day making them a nice, cozy dog house to keep them out of the rain.  So far they seem to use it more as a jungle gym but I guess that works too.

Welcome to the new Store!

After nearly 6 years of being almost exclusively on Etsy today I'm rolling out a standalone store page to sell things directly to clients.  It might take a few more days to finish cleaning up the renovation dust but if you're reading this then the new shop is ready and open for business!   Why move away from Etsy? Etsy was a great place to start my shop and grow it over the last six years and I'll always be grateful for that.  There's been a lot of changes in how Etsy treats its seller community in the past couple of years...

Spring Surprise

This has nothing to do with the shop but this brought me some joy this weekend and that's the only reason to share it. My in-laws usually throw together big feasts for the family in the local area for every holiday.  With everyone in self-isolation we hadn't seem them in awhile and the usual get-together wasn't an option.  So they cooked up all the food anyway and made door to door deliveries.  We wanted something to contribute so we came up with these in short-order. Breakfast Bread

What with all the self isolation it seems like everyone's discovered baking so at least something good's come out of all this.  I started baking just before I moved to Canada and for the past few years I've been making my own bread that I have as toast every morning.  That'll probably sound dull to most folks but I appreciate being able to fall out of my bunk and not have to figure out what I'm cramming in my gullet.  It's a pretty adaptable and forgiving recipe so it should be perfect for any aspiring bakers.  The bread is hearty...
